Tinea Versicolor Treatment

Ketoconazole For Tinea Versicolor: A Fungal Destroyer

It has been well over a year since I’ve last updated this website, but boy do I have some great news for you all. In my time away from posting and wading through life I have learned a great deal of new things about Tinea Versicolor treatment that I have to tell you all about. If you’ve read my other posts about treating Tinea Versicolor you would know that I am a huge advocate of treating things the natural way, if possible. Sometimes there is truly a need for compounds and prescriptions in order to treat disease and illness. In prior circumstances, I don’t think I would have considered using a compound such as ketoconazole, but a certain curse on men changed that. If you’re wondering what that curse may be, yes, you guessed it right. Hair loss.

You might be wondering where the two connect. If you don’t know how hair loss or hair thinning works then keep reading. For now let’s get back to my story.

Ketoconazole For Tinea Versicolor AND Hair Loss? How I Discovered It.

I was about 20 years old at the time I was first asked whether or not I had male pattern baldness that ran in my family. I was driving down the street and stopped my car to talk to my neighbor. He is known to be a generally outspoken guy so the first thing he says to me, “Dude, are you going bald?”. Those 5 words stuck like glue to my brain for the rest of the day, “How dare he” I thought. “I’m not going bald! I have a full head of blonde hair, you’re the one who’s bald buddy!” (funny enough my neighbor is bald). For the duration of that day all I could ask my parents was “Mom, Dad, do I look like i’m going bald?” they said “No honey, your hair looks fine.” Relief, or so I thought. The reality was my hair was thinning and I was in complete denial thereon. The next time I was called out on my thinning hair was when my brutally honest uncle came down to visit. Everyone’s got at least one crazy uncle in their family so you all know what I’m talking about.Ketoconazole For Hairloss And Tinea Versicolor

This time, I wasn’t asked if I was going bald. My uncle just flat out said “Hey dude, looks like you’re getting a bit thin up top!”. Once again, my inner being was crushed and the only thing I could do was shrug it off! My uncle is pretty much bald so he was more than happy to let me know that I was going to be in his position some day too. I told myself, that was it! I was going to find a solution to my hair thinning if it was the last thing I do. I did the minoxidil thing and drinking green tea, blah blah blah. Anybody losing their hair knows exactly the things I’m talking about, but hey! You get desperate to try anything. In my search to cure my hair loss, I found an interesting study about an anti-fungal compound known as Ketoconazole. Believe it or not, it did not occur to me that I had actually written about Ketoconazole for Tinea Versicolor on this very website!

A Study On Hair Loss And How Ketoconazole Could Help

What I found in this study, was that Ketoconazole actually was found to stimulate hair growth in mice! If you don’t know how most hair loss works then I will try to give you a brief summary now. In my case and for Ketoconazole caused hair regrowth in micealmost all men suffering from hair loss or male pattern baldness, the reason our follicles stop producing hair is known as Androgenic alopecia. To summarize, the hair follicles are attacked by a hormone produced by our bodies known as DHT or DihydrotestosteroneIt is not known why, but these hormones attach to the follicles in the tops of our head that basically slowly kill the hair follicles until they do not produce any more hair. This process is known as miniaturization. Hair loss can be a result of other conditions so it is important to see your dermatologist to determine what could be the cause of your hair loss.

I hope that gave you a bit of an understanding on how certain hair loss occurs. Check out the links I’ve provided above if you need further insight. Once again, the type of hair loss I described above is most common in men and may not be the same reason for your own thinning.

How I Discovered RegenePure

So as soon as I read the possible effects of Ketoconazole on Androgenic alopecia, I went and purchased a bottle of RegenePure as fast as I could. For those unaware, RegenePure is a topical shampoo that contains a 1% solution of ketoconazole and other goodies in it that will treat your hair follicles right. RegenePure is the only topical shampoo I know of that has no harmful chemicals like Sodium laureth sulfate or ParabensAnother great thing I like in particular about RegenePure is that all of their products have been tested on humans only! So I applaud them for being friendly to not only our scalps but our animal friends too.RegenePure DR You can see in another one of my posts that I DO NOT promote taking any sort of anti-fungal medication internally because of some of the harmful effects it has on your health. With regenepure it is a topical shampoo containing 1% Ketoconazole that you can use on your head or your entire body as a body wash. I have had absolutely zero negative side effects from using it and you probably won’t either. As with anything recommended on this site, consult your doctor before trying any product listed on this website. For the past year I have been using regenepure about every other day. I’d like to think that in conjunction with a healthier diet and lifestyle that I have slowed down my hair loss a bit. However the main thing I found that was so beneficial in using this shampoo was that it had absolutely nuked my Tinea Versicolor. I had in the past struggled to fight it and as you can see on this website have learned many different ways to combat Tinea Versicolor. When I started using regenepure the fight was over. Folks, I am not kidding when I say that if you are truly struggling with Tinea Versicolor, then you absolutely need to try this product. I do not have one single discolored blotch on my skin anymore and I am so excited about this that I had to come back and write a gigantic post on it.

BEFORE YOU BUY: Be sure and order ONLY RegenePure DR. The other version known as RegenePure NT is just a volumizing conditioner that DOES NOT contain 1% Ketoconazole. So remember, before you buy make sure you are purchasing the correct one! The key ingredient is 1% Ketoconazole!

If you’re still not convinced, let’s look at some of the benefits Ketoconazole shampoo has to offer.

Benefits Of Ketoconazole Shampoo For Fungal Conditions

Many people have been successful in using a ketoconazole shampoo for Tinea Versicolor. The reason it is such an effective treatment for so many fungal conditions is because it kills the fungi before it can become an infectious disease! Personally I use Ketoconazole for Tinea Versicolor but others have treated fungal infections such as Jock’s itch, Athlete’s foot, Ring worm, Seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, and the list goes on. If you are suffering from a fungal infection, it can likely be remedied using a topical ketoconazole application. I personally have not stopped using Regenepure, even though I have been free of Tinea Versicolor for quite some time. As I mentioned before I use it as a potential hair loss treatment and really I think it just works to keep any form of fungal infections away. I go the gym often where people sweat and contact is made easily by shared equipment so it is a big deal for me to consistently use a ketoconazole shampoo for tinea versicolor. These types of shampoos I feel do a very good job in preventing fungal infections. For people who are often suffering from yeast infections, ketoconazole shampoo could be exactly what you need to keep the problems away. Remember the over production of yeast living on our body is largely what causes any fungal condition, so playing it safe and using a shampoo like this could save you a lot of pain and suffering later. When I first noticed I had Tinea Versicolor I never really paid much attention to it until it was full-blown out of control and looked terrible. I know how awful it is to look at yourself and not be happy with what you see, this fungal condition makes it so much worse so take a stand and get yourself some RegenePure DR!

Why Ketoconazole May Not Be For You

You may be like me when I first started trying to treat my own case of Tinea Versicolor. Desperate and wanting to treat it as naturally as possible. If you are one of those people who are not interested in trying an anti-fungal medication and would prefer more natural alternatives, than ketoconazole may not be for you. If you do not care and just want your Tinea Versicolor gone, then grab some regenepure right now! Something else I should note is that I am not recommending ketoconazole be taken internally. Quite frankly, the idea of taking these are pretty terrifying to me personally. In my opinion, the tablet version of ketoconazole which is to be taken orally should be regarded as a completely last ditch effort for Tinea Versicolor treatment. The side effects of this drug can be dangerous and it has been known to be linked to hepatic toxicity and even deaths. For men, ketoconazole taken orally can have detrimental effects on the endocrine system which can hinder serum testosterone production if not completely shut it down. It is known that a dosage of 800mg a day can impair testosterone and at 1600mg can completely abolish it. Although the dosage will never be that high if prescribed, I would take some serious consideration into whether or not you should go this route. The ketoconazole shampoo often times can be a great form of treating Tinea Versicolor. When applied topically it is not uncommon for the condition to be cleared within days. The good thing about ketoconazole in the form of a shampoo is that it is not known to be systemically absorbed. In other words, it does not absorb into the skin and make its way into the blood stream. Shampoo with ketoconazole does have possible side effects which can be irritation, swelling, stinging and redness of the skin. If you are currently using ketoconazole shampoo and experiencing these side effects, notify your doctor as soon as possible. Always remember to follow any directions associated with this shampoo and apply as directed. If you apply more then necessary, chances of ill side effects are increased.

How I Apply Ketoconazole Shampoo For Tinea VersicolorRegenePureDR

I generally apply the regenepure shampoo in the shower after I’ve had a workout. I go to the gym almost every day so as a preventative measure I personally use it whenever I’ve gone to the gym. Everyone’s preference will vary, if you are on a budget then you may just want to apply the shampoo every other day until the Tinea Versicolor has gone.

If you do not want to apply the shampoo to your head, then just go ahead and use it as a body wash and leave it on for 10 minutes. Remember though if you just apply it to your body you will not get the benefits on your scalp. So if you are suffering from dandruff keep this in mind.

Keep the ketoconazole on yourself as long as you can. If you start to feel any discomfort then immediately wash it off. Most users with only leave it on for 3-5 minutes and that is also what is recommended on regenepure’s directions. Although I said above to leave it on for 10 minutes, do what suits you best.

My Solely Recommended Ketoconazole Shampoo For Tinea Versicolor

As you read above, I suggest nothing but using RegenePure. An 8 oz. bottle of this stuff will last you quite a long time if you use it correctly and it should help with any fungal condition you may have. Many other ketoconazole containing products can be very harsh on our skin and can result in some pretty bad irritation. It’s not necessarily because of the ketoconazole itself but rather all the other harsh ingredients that the shampoos or creams contain. The application of this product is very easy and the results will blow you away. I recommend a lot of other products on this website but this shampoo for Tinea Versicolor is by far the best. Plus, if you decided to use it as a shampoo, you may even notice your hair becoming a bit thicker. Well, at least that’s the hope! You can check out RegenePure DR on Amazon by clicking the link below.

Conclusion
